Barcelona and Greece 2014: Easter Sunday

Image
Breakfast at the hotel again then off out to explore. Before we went to La Sagrada Familia we took a walking tour from the guidebook which somehow turned into an Easter egg/cake hunt! (sorry Tom!)   We found a chocolate shop and were offered some cake - it was amazing and we vowed to come back!              Along the way we also found a photo exhibition of 75 years of photography (I think).     I'm not sure what Rafa is doing in this piccy!           We did eventually found one of Gaudi's houses which wasn't covered up with scaffolding.     Then we were off to La Sagrada Familia. The following day we got a text message from our friends Becky and George to say that they were finally getting married (after several years) and the wedding would be taking place in George’s village in Greece! So, following revised plans we decided to go to Barcelona with Jennifer (and her boyfriend Tom) and then headed to Greece for the wedding – whirlwind few days coming up! Good Friday After travelling to London Southend airport on Thursday evening we had an early start this morning for our flight to Barcelona. We left Southend at 7am and arrived in Barcelona at 10; we then got a taxi to the Hilton and checked in. We got a room despite being early so we unpacked and then met Jennifer and Tom in the lobby. We headed into town and we were already hungry so Tom found us somewhere to get lu...
