A touch of Disney and 2 cruises in a week! Day 5 - 2nd day at Liverpool
Thursday
Another late start this morning (we are really getting into this holiday routine now!) so we missed breakfast (we could have gone to the Windjammer but decided against it).
We headed off the ship today, mainly in search of the Disney store as we haven't ever had one locally and I wanted to pop into one before they closed.
We clearly made a mistake in our selection of days to get off the ship as the forecast today was for rain and before we had got very far it had started - thankfully it was light at this point.
We found the Disney store and had a little look around, it was a little bit sad but we bought a couple of pins and a bargain top for Rob (there were none that would have fitted me).

We got a snack from Greggs as we had skipped breakfast (sausage roll and doughnut) and looked around a few more shops.
The rain got heavier rain so we bought an umbrella in Sports Direct and then the rain stopped a few mins later
We headed back to the ship, buying another magnet to add to our collection in the Liverpool museum shop.
Back on the ship we got some lunch (pizza and sandwiches) and sat in Two70 for a little while watching Chris Watkins rehearsing, we had planned to go to his show but didn't manage to get back in time.

Back to the room for a rest for a couple of hours before we went to the Next Cruise desk to check the deal for an Alaska cruise as I had checked prices online and found a lower price (this was partly due to a different category but the sam room type guaranteed).
They matched our deal and applied an onboard discount plus a discount we qualify for through work.
So next year we are going to Alaska! Sailing from Seattle in Sept on Quantum of the Seas in a Suite Guarantee (which means we will probably get a Junior Suite again).
On the way back we booked Coastal Kitchen for dinner again on our last night as we had had such a good meal last night, then we headed back to our room to get ready for dinner.

We were eating in Jamie’s tonight and for starters I had the meat plank and Rob had garlic bread, these were both very good.

Mains were lasagna for me and Rob had penne carbonara and we both had the epic brownie for dessert.

This meal was excellent and we both agreed far better than our experience at Chops Grille which was a surprise as we had both expected (pre cruise) to prefer Chops.
We then headed to two70 to watch Spectra’s Cabaret, as we thought we had seen some of the performers rehearsing the other day so thought we would check it out.

It was different but very good and the screens / robots are quite something, I'm glad we had seen the rehearsal as we probably wouldn't have watched the show otherwise.
We took a couple of photos and refilled our cups before heading to bed. Last full day tomorrow
